What's on Trend for 2021

Essentially a trend or a fashion will follow a mood of the time. The emotion of the moment or era, decade or year? The COVID factor is going to be heavily influencing “the Mood and Trends” of the next season.

Being relevant, on-trend and in demand is a happy profitable place to be.
Trend follows the mood or emotion
Relevance reflects is what’s desired.

What’s desired accords to what demographic (or who) you’re selling too.
Or what “problem” you’re solving.

You can follow a trend and dependent on where you sit in the wave, your ride will be smooth enough. Slipstreaming is effortless, requires no thought or overexertion. There’s nothing like the thrill of being at the front of the peloton - the breakaway racer.
I want to encourage you to create a trend instead of follow, see how it feels to own the wave, or race away from the pack.

Who or what marketing decisions influence your production?

Here are a couple of trend predictions.

  • Indoor plants have peaked.

  • Bold flower colours are done.

  • Pastels and soft muted tones are in.

  • Variegated is special.

  • Clipped and manicured is for aged care homes.

  • Random, odd and bespoke will reign.
